Frenodiar® ORS
Stops diarrhoea
IS THIS PRODUCT RIGHT FOR ME?
- Have you got acute or chronic diarrhoea?
- Do you feel painful symptoms associated with gastrointestinal disorders?
- Do you need to replenish mineral salts urgently?
If you have answered ‘yes’ to any of these questions, Máyla® Pharma recommends FRENODIAR® ORS, a medical product to orally treat acute and chronic diarrhoea and the painful symptoms associated with gastrointestinal disorders. Frenodiar® SRO is also appropriate for prevention of diarrhoea due to radiotherapy and chemotherapy.
HOW AND WHEN CAN I TAKE IT?
- To prepare it, dissolve the vanilla-flavoured content of one packet in 100 ml of water.
- Taking Frenodiar® SRO between meals is recommended.
- Recommended dose:
• Children over 2 years of age: Up to 4 packets a day for the first three days.
• Adults: Up to 6 packets a day for the first three days.
After that, continue with half the dose until all signs of diarrhoea are gone. - It must not be used for more than 5 consecutive days. If your symptoms persist, check with your doctor.
WHAT ARE ITS BENEFITS?
- Each packet of Frenodiar® SRO contains diosmectite and electrolytes:
• Diosmectite is a type of natural clay that absorbs the liquids present in the intestinal lumen, thereby increasing the consistency of excretion and slowing expulsion.
• Electrolytes help reduce the risk of dehydration due to diarrhoea and restore hydrosaline balance with a balanced dose of electrolytes. - Frenodiar® SRO also creates a protective gel on the gastroduodenal wall that provides protection from the hypersecretion of acids and gastro-harmful substances.
- Gluten free.
WARNINGS
- Diosmectite can interfere with the gastrointestinal absorption of certain medicines, so it’s important to space it out with any other oral treatments.
- It should not be taken by people who are constipated.
- This product contains sugar, meaning anyone with diabetes or following a special diet must keep this in mind.
- If you are taking other medicines, check with your doctor before using the product.
- Check with your doctor before taking this product if you’re pregnant or breastfeeding.
