Kreaflora® Junior
Balances defences in children
IS THIS PRODUCT RIGHT FOR ME?
- Does your child suffer from acute infantile gastroenteritis?
- Do you wish to prevent post-antibiotic gastroenteritis in your child?
- Does your child have soft, watery stools?
- Does your child have three or more bowel movements a day?
If you answered ‘yes’ to any of these questions, Máyla® Pharma recommends KREAFLORA® JUNIOR, a PREbiotic, PRObiotic and PRO-defence formula that is specially designed to help prevent and manage acute and post-antibiotic infantile diarrhoea.
HOW AND WHEN TO TAKE IT
- Take 1 stick a day, preferably just before or during any of the main meals (breakfast, lunch or dinner). We recommend not taking it after meals.
- If you are looking to prevent post-antibiotic infantile gastroenteritis, your child should take Kreaflora® Junior at least 2 hours before or after taking the antibiotic.
- Take orally and directly, without the need for water, but it can be diluted in a glass of water or in another liquid or semi-solid (juice, yoghurt, mashed fruit, etc.) at room temperature.
- It should not be taken by pregnant or breast-feeding women. The product is suitable for children aged 3 to 12 years.
- Store the product in a dark, dry atmosphere, at a temperature between 5 and 25°C.
- Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a varied and balanced diet.
WHAT ARE ITS BENEFITS?
- The species, strains and concentrations of L. rhamnosus GG and S. boulardii (yeast) were chosen in accordance with the Universal Recommendations for the Management of Acute Gastroenteritis in Children, published by the European Society for Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (ESPGHAN, 2014).
- The species, strains and concentrations of L. rhamnosus GG and S. boulardii are recommended for the prevention of antibiotic diarrhoea in children (ESPGHAN, 2016; WGO, 2017). The species B. longum and S. thermophilus, meanwhile, are highly recommended (grade 2) by the World Gastroenterology Organisation (WGO, 2017) for the treatment of acute infantile diarrhoea.
- The product has a symbiotic action thanks to the inulin in its formulation. This is a type of soluble fibre which builds up in the intestine and serves as a nutrient to the intestinal microbiota, facilitating its proliferation. Additionally, vitamin B6 contributes to the normal functioning of the immune system and vitamin D3 contributes to the mineralisation of bones and teeth, which is recommended for growing children.
OUR RECOMMENDATIONS
- Keep properly hydrated and follow a balanced diet.
- Ensure good personal and food hygiene.
- In cases of acute diarrhoea, meals should be regular and portions should be small.
